** Norwegian rallycross driver Kjell Arne Smerud joins Olsbergs/MSE team managed by Swede Andreas Eriksson. He has signed a three year deal with the team and has become the second driver of the team. A brand new Division One Ford Fiesta Mk7 will be prepared for Smerud to fight for the European Champion's title starting already with the first round on May 1-2 in Montalegre, Portugal.
Smerud already has some experience of European Championship as he has participated in several rounds during 2008 and 2009. With his Citroen Xsara in 2009 he has even managed A final in Sosnova and became third in Holjes. He is also seven time Champion of Norwegian Rallycross in Super Nationell and one time Swedish Rallycross Champion in Super Nationell.

** The Volvo S40 Mk2 which was driven by Ludvig Hunsbedt in the European Rallycross Championship in seasons 2007, 2008 and 2009 is sold and the new owner of the car has become Swedish Rallycross driver Mats Ohman. Former Bergteamet team members Magnus&Magnus are going to support Ohman during the season 2010, who will mainly focus on Swedish Rallycross Championship.

** Citroën Racing in France has signed a new contract with 14 time champion Kenneth Hansen to drive the FIA European Rallycross Championship. The long and successful cooperation continues for another season and the target is to win. "I am proud and grateful that Citroën stands behind me", he says. "Last year we finished only third, the competition is keen, but I feel that we have something really good coming this season. I think the combination Swedish and French will be difficult to beat."

** The multiple winner of the Central European Zone Rallycross Trophy in Division 4 Austrian Jurgen Weiss is going to debut in Division 1 already in the first round of Austrian Championship on April 25 in Sosnova, Czech Republic. Jurgen omitted past season as he was building the 550 Hp powered Ford Focus (picture above). He is also planning to join several rounds of European Rallycross Championship.
